About Gudrun, your experienced and enthusiastic French coach, host & private local guide

Gudrun Bauer, your French coach, host and local guide
Qualified & bicultural trainer for French as a Foreign Language (FLE), trained at the Sorbonne in Paris - specialised in accelerated teaching and learning (Superlearning) in Cologne, with more then 30 years professional experience in France. Freelance provider of exciting language holiday programmes since 1994. B&B owner in Aigues-Mortes

In 1987, ten years after starting my exciting career as language trainer and interpreter in the world of French & German business in Paris,  I took advantage of an opportunity to carry on my job in Southern France....  at first for various International Language Schools and big companies (tourism, agribusiness, cottage industry,  vineyards...) and finally,  as a freelance French coach... for myself !

Since 1994, I have been offering my own French immersion programme for motivated adults who wish to experience and improve  their  skills in colloquial language through an informal but highly effective learning approach in a stimulating setting.

So, rather than open a language school, I preferred to open a typical french "chambre d'hôte" at my home in Aigues-Mortes...  which ensures that the "French learner" is not immersed in a studious environment but in a real holiday context... much more favourable to reach his object quickly.

Always curious to discover what makes my area of France interesting and unique, I've spent the last 30 years exploring Provence and building relationships with local people so that I can introduce you to a lot of special places, communities, events and experiences which will make your learning vacation truly exciting and tasty.

Full Immersion in a "French-only" speaking environment

My wealth of experience is gained over many, many years  coaching French to people of all nationalities, ages and levels.

I know you will reap the benefits as many others have through my "French-speaking holiday programme".

The easiest thing when learning a new language is to do it from a position of comfort; that is by defaulting to your own language as soon as a situation or a discussion becomes challenging...

I do not encourage this !

If you want to become rapidly at ease amongst French speakers ... the only way is to use French ... and only French during your stay.

It's so easy and fun on holiday... ;-)
