Bonjour, I am a qualified & bicultural teacher of French as a foreign language - a specialist in accelerated teaching & learning with > 30 years professional experience in France. In 1994 I began (in freelance) a successful & memorable Language Learning Holiday program in Provence

In 1987, ten years after starting my exciting career as a language trainer and interpreter in the world of French & German business in Paris, I took advantage of an opportunity to carry on my job in Southern France.... at first for various International Language Schools and big companies (tourism, agribusiness, cottage industry, vineyards...) and finally, as a freelance French coach... for myself !

Since 1994, I have been offering my own French immersion programs for motivated adults who wish to advance quickly through an informal but highly effective learning approach in a stimulating setting and with an enthousiastic & professional coach.

Rather than open a classical language school, I preferred to open a typical french "chambre d'hôte" in Aigues-Mortes... which ensures that from the moment a student arrives they are immersed in a relaxed holiday environment, really favourable to speaking French naturally while enjoying French life & local culture!

Always curious to discover what makes my area of France interesting and unique, I've spent more than 20 years exploring Provence and building relationships with the local people so that I can introduce you to a lot of special places, people, events and experiences that will make your stay truly exciting and enjoyable.

My wealth of experience is gained over many, many years teaching French to people of all nationalities. My approach is one of “Total Immersion” – we speak French with each other from our first interaction until our last!

The easiest thing when learning a new language is to do it from a position of comfort; that is by defaulting to your own language as soon as a situation or a discussion becomes challenging...

I do not encourage this and will always push the learner to work through an interaction or communication in French, developing all of your learning senses: listening, seeing and experiencing is how real language skill develops best!

With this approach I find that in the early stages, whilst it can feel at times that nothing is making sense, it all begins to fall rapidly into place by constant reinforcement and sympathetic and informal coaching from me.

My patience and experience ensure that we work at your pace, but in French; we discuss your thoughts and aspirations, but in French – you will even book your course and accommodation with me in French!!!!

Your experience starts from minute one, day one and I know you will reap the benefits as many others have through “Total Immersion”.
